My mother was taken back as soon as she arrived. The Emergency Department’s nurses and doctors were excellent. They were very attentive to my mother and me. She had a fabulous nurse who was sweet, caring, and very helpful. The doctor was excellent and was very thorough. We appreciate the care my mother received.

I had a crash on my bike and had a laceration on my face. It was a Monday afternoon. The waiting room was not packed but there were about 10 people waiting. The check-in people were friendly. I was seen by a triage doctor and nurse after about 15 minutes. They were both nice and told me what would happen next. About 20 minutes later I was taken to the actual ER where I was put on a gurney in the hallway. I was taken back for a head X-ray about 30-40 minutes later. About 30-40 minutes later I saw the doctor who determined I needed a couple stitches. About 20 minutes later he came back and stitched me up. Dr. Wilson was outstanding. He was efficient and compassionate. I thought everyone there was great. They have a hard job and even though my injuries were minor I was treated kindly and with respect.

Excellent service from check-in to discharge. The lady in admissions recognized my Mom from a recent visit to the ER with my Dad. She was very kind and courteous. My RN and MD (Elizabeth Gray) were wonderful. She explained every step she was taking to work-up my tinnitus. My CT tech was very nice and courteous, also. It really was the smoothest visit to the ER I have ever encountered.

I had constant migraines for years with no relief. I was going to the er regularly to get the migraine cocktail, while also seeing a neuro doc. My symptoms got worse, my vision was effected, I couldn’t lay down or it got a million times worse, could hear my heart beat in my ears, I could see it in my vision. All around not a good experience. I had done my research and believed I had IIH. (Idiopathic intercranial hypertension) it’s a fancy way of saying too much pressure on the brain and optic nerves, etc from excess of spinal fluid. I was seen in the er at grandview where the female dr actually took me seriously. She checked pressure on my eyes first. It was up. (Ocular hypertension) I’m going to find out her name because I want to thank her personally and make sure she knows how much I appreciate her. She talked with neuro and I was admitted. Dr.Cobia done all the imaging he had to do first and blood work. There are steps to things and procedures to follow. I completely understood. On day 3 he was able to have me sent to the fluoroscopy suite for a spinal tap. My pressure was up. That , along with my symptoms, confirmed diagnosis of IIH. They drained 29 ccs spinal fluid. That night I began taking diamox to keep the pressure from building back up. I had some initial relief. I’m starting to have some of the same symptoms and I’m probably going to try and see Dr Cobia. I want to thank the all of the Drs, Nurses, and Pct that cared for me while I was there , from the er , to the 12th floor @ grandview west, fluoroscopy suite, radiology, patient transport, dietary, housekeeping, etc.!! They stay busy at all time. So be patient with them. They are definitely trying their best out there! If you needed someone to take you seriously, I would definitely recommend Grandview. I finally have an answer to an almost 2 decade issue. Pictures from my hospital stay and a couple of my wedding from 11/8/25.

ALL of the staff... nurses and doctors were fantastic, super friendly and very attentive! No one likes going to the ER, but I have to say this was by far the best experience I've ever had. They took great care of me (this was my 2nd ER visit of the week) I had gone to a different ER the day before and got worse and had to go back, I left there with a better understanding of what was wrong, what was causing the issue and a solution to dig deeper. I left there feeling much better and the treatment I received was far more better than I received the day before.

My husband was transported there from nursing facility and I kept in touch via phone. All ER employees I spoke with were wonderful to update me and reassure me. Dr gave med to calm him and nurses made sure he had snacks. They were all very special to keep me encouraged and not worry. All was great in ER and then as in-patient in hospital. Thanks to everyone!

I had to go to Grandview emergency this past week. The emergency room was crowded as usual but when it was my turn I felt like the most important person in the room. They answered every question without rushing me they quelled as many fears as possible from the registration sign in to triage to actually being seen by a doctor all the way till discharge. Grandview makes each person feel seen. Five stars is an gross understatement Thank you Grandview emergency staff Dr.Cowart Chyna Nurse K, CT staff, phlebotomy urology and anyone I missed. I was thoroughly examined my time was absolutely all mine.

Hello, This is Marion and when I visited Grandview Emergency Department I checked in at the desk and given my admission bracelets. I didn't have to wait very long at all. I was really happy about that because I was in some really severe pain. The wait was short when a person came out to get me to talk to me about what was wrong with me. After talking to her I was placed in a waiting room. I stay there a short period of time when the doctor came in to talk to me about my pain and he examined me, my ankles, etc. Then, I was told someone would be in to give me some test. Later, the person came into the room to give me an ultrasound there at my bed. A short time later someone came to get me and I followed them to get a CT-Scan. After waiting a little while the doctor came back to let me know that I had a buldging disc in my back and it was pressing on a nerve. Then, I was given two shot for pain and given some prescriptions to take care of my condition. In conclusion, it was a very nice visit. Everyone was very professional kind and helpful! They took care of all my needs. Thank you for all you do for the sick!!

This was by far the best experience I have had at Grandview. From the moment I arrived in the Emergency Room until the time I was discharged, the care I received was exceptional. A special thank you to Nurse Mahogany, who provided outstanding bedside care throughout my stay. She was compassionate, attentive, and extremely helpful, making a difficult situation much more tolerable. She consistently checked on me, kept me informed about my treatment and what to expect, and went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and well cared for. Her professionalism, kindness, and dedication to her patients truly stood out. Grandview is fortunate to have a nurse of her caliber on their team. Thank you, Nurse Mahogany, for making such a positive difference in my experience.
